Simple Green is a good choice. It is biodegradable, non-toxic and very powerful. Diluted or full strength--its great.

Whatever you do, don't use acid (vinegar, lemon, etc) to clean your tile if it is not porcelain. The Italian Heritage Tile and Stone website has really good care information. Once your tile is clean, you will want to seal it. Which sealer to use depends on what your tile is made of, and if it is glazed or not. One of my favorite green cleaners is Dr. Bronner's SAL suds.

Bona is a commercial cleaner for stone and tile. It leaves a high shine on both. Available at your larger stores and through Amazon online.
