goo gone?
I used epoxy to glue some plates to candle sticks. Many months and frequent use, I washed one in very warm water then layed it on a very cold, not freezing, drain counter. It just popped right apart. The type of glue you use might make a difference. Am using E6000 now with no such problem. But no longer live in that drafty cold farmhouse.
Yes should be available where you buy your glue.
What kind of glue did you use? There is even debonders for glues like superglue, gorilla glue and CA glue that you can get where most glues are found on display. They work pretty well for when you get it on your fingers, so should work between plates. I use CA a lot, which is a super super glue and get the debonders at the local hobby shop that carries R/C planes and cars and trains and models. They always have the best products so they are durable with hard use.
Soak you glass in hot water. The glass and the glue should expand at different rates and come apart. Not many glues hold up to under water use.
