My sink faucet in bath is supposed to be brushed nickel.

some helper cleaned it and I cannot get the origonal luster back. It looks water stained as if it has acney.
Any suggestions other than replacement?

You can try to wrap the faucet in a towel wrapped in white vinegar and leave it on overnight
Wipe it down with some vinegar and see what happens.
I use old tooth paste
Rustoleum has some new metal sprays that may help. I recently used one to refinish a doorknob set. You'll need to spray outside because of the fumes, but, it dries quickly and looks great. After it dried I sprayed it with a waterproof sealer. They are both available in the paint aisle of most stores.
