Need help with cleaning artificial & silk flowers.

There are commercial cleaners, but they are very expensive. I have a lot of plants I need to clean, any help would be apppreciated

I use Woolite in cold water, then rinse with fabric softener.

Remove all dust before any liquid is used... Canned air and a bush work great...then use your bath tub to dip and swish...I use Simply Green...choose a hot windy day and hang outside to dry...Shake off excess. Artificial flowers are made with a lot of starch pressed into fabric before construction. Do not soak...they are also dyed, wash same colors together, they will run..be patient...

I spray my artificial trees with the hose, shake and let dry. Have also used a bath tub, laundry tub, spray attachment at my kitchen sink and just ordinary dish soap for smaller ones. None of this seems to have affected them negatively.

I'm afraid water would stain some of them & brushes wouldn't t do much good on some of them. I may check the simple green out.

I hose my artificial ficus trees outside once a year and take them back in when dry. I also remove leaves and plastic flowers from the arrangements and wash them in a sinkful of water with a couple of drops of dish detergent. Then rinse them. Water does not harm them. For very delicate arrangements with Baby's Breath, which you cannot take apart you have no choice but to clean every petal by hand with a damp cloth.

If your artificial flowers are dusty place in a paper bag grocery bag size with a lot of table salt. close the bag and shake vigerously.Have done this many times and it cleans them well.

I take mine out on the back deck, wet with water hose, spray with Awesome cleaner(like mean green)and spray again with water hose. Shake excess water off and let them dry before bringing them back in. Hope this helps.
