Cut lemon
I have cats, too. I sprinkle baking soda on my carpets, let it settle in for a couple of hours, then vacuum. It also makes the vacuum smell good, too.

Indoor plants that are natural air purifiers work great. Of course then you'll have to keep the cats out of them lol. They may stay away from aloe vera plants!
You can add some sweet smelling essential oils to whatever cleaner you use!
Make sachets using lavender or eucalyptus or spicy cooking essentials like cinnamon sticks, cloves, & anise stars. Tuck them into drawers, closets, cabinets and tucked in between cushions on the furniture. Make an orange pomander by sticking cloves into an orange. Keep a bunch of dried eucalyptus branches in the bathroom to release fresh scent whenever the air gets humid. Have fun!
I have 6 indoor / outdoor cats, I hear you. I brush mine every day or at least every other day. I have lots of throws on furniture and rotate them regularly. I have their litter boxes in the garage which helps too. If you feel it gets smelly, keep charcoal around to absorb odors. (I also have 3 dogs, a canary and a dragon + the neighbors 3 dogs during the day go back and forth between our 2 houses and yards - yes, it feels like a zoo.)
Essential oils and baking soda are good things to use. Just be careful with essential oils and cats. Some can be toxic, including Lemon Oil.
