Does anyone have suggestion for removing surface scratches on an aluminum sink?

  • Is it stainless? Or aluminum sink? In any case the fix is the same. Unless the aluminum or stainless is polished and shiny. If its shiny use automobile polishing compound. The white is for really fine shiny finish, Use a clean soft pad and use the compound using water to keep it from getting caked up. Use long strokes not short ones so it blends. for a non-shiny types follow the directions on this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmepBk-MM1c Please understand. It is very difficult to get a shiny surface with compound, but its the only method that will remove the scratches without making the surface. Shiny finishes are done at the factory using special polish machines and buffing pads.

@Linda Johnson, no I haven't tried that, but I did get some good advice and a link to a YouTube video from Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse. My problem is that the sink is very old and has tons of surface scratches. I'll post the link here in case you'd be interested. Simple and cheap! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmepBk-MM1c
