What is the best way to clean the shower head?

Pour vinegar into a plastic baggy, place it so the showerhead is in the vinegar, and tie or tape it tightly above the showerhead. Walk away, go do something else for awhile. When you finally remove the baggy, your showerhead will be clean. I always do mine at night, and remove it the next morning.

I use the same method but use CLR instead of vinegar if the shower head is super cruddy.

I agree, white vinegar in a baggy, or if you can unscrew the shower head, then take it off and soak it in a bowl of vinegar.

White vinegar is what i use on alot of things around the house. No harsh chemicals and a whole lot cheaper.

I'm with the vinegar and a baggy. Ive been doing it for so long, that I thought I, honestly, invented it...I'm a genius! :) If that doesn't do it, try the CLR, it rocks, too.

I use vinegar, but not in a baggy. I soak paper towels in vinegar and wrap it around the shower head. It uses a lot less vinegar and works just as well.
