Try Bar Keeper's Friend on it. The stain should come off.
did you try a scouring powder like cameo or even comet? Dampen the sink, put a small amount on a cloth or paper towel..most stainless sinks have groves from the manufactureing. Rub with the grooves. It should come out.
Baking Soda
Make a paste of baking soda and water, spread it on the mark, come back later and scrub it away, repeat the process if necessary.
An alternative would be to do the same procedure with cream of tartar.
