Have you tried aluminum foil?
Is it cast iron? If so, scrub it well with hot water and soap and a hard scrubby brush to get all the loose rust bits off. Then re-season it by wiping it with cooking oil (corn or safflower, rather than olive oil), then heat it in the oven--375 degrees for an hour. Then let it cool in the oven. Wipe out any oil with a paper towel and store (I keep mine in the oven). I use Iron-out for other rust. Got it at Home Depot--supposed to remove rust from anything.
Vinegar and bicarbonate of soda let it soak for 20 minutes then place on a low heat for 5 minutes then was as you would usually do it
Wash
Thank you I will try them
