Wipe everything down quickly after applying hair spray. That is what my mom did. Kept it under control in between cleanings. For the floor, put down a washable rug to make things easier.
Method Sweet Water hand soap works to remove build-up in my hair because it has sodium laurel sulfate in it. I bet some added to water would remove it quickly.
Window cleaner. I use the Dollar Store brand because it is cheaper and I use a lot. It works just as well for this purpose. I do this about twice a year because of the build-up everywhere!
Mixture of shampoo and water and use to wash the wall, does a wonderful job.
Liquid fabric softener. I just did my grandmaa bathroom ( the beehive queen ) worked great!
Rubbing alcohol works.

What kind of floor do you have? Linoleum, wood, tile??? I too have had this problem for many years. I finally decided to grab at least 3 dirty towels and throw on the floor before spraying my hair. What a lifesaver that has been!!
