White vinegar. Turn the water supply off and then flush the toilet. Spray the vinegar on the ring and then lay a layer of toilet paper over it and spray until quite wet. Leave it for as long as possible. It should remove the ring rather easily. If you use vinegar regularly when cleaning, the ring will be minimal.

this is my favorite. The Clorox Toilet Wand comes with a long handle and a box of six disposable cleaning heads. The cleaning heads are pre-filled with a blue cleaning solution that releases into the water. Rub anywhere you want and the cleaning head will scrub away filth and grime. When you are finished just dispose of the cleaning head in the trash. with a click to release it from the stick. I love that the refills can be stored inside the holder and the handle stick sits outside. Once you pop off the cleaning head, let it dry by laying on top of the toilet bowl and putting the cover over it to drip dry. The cleaning heads are NOT flushable. This product can save time all while preventing the overuse of harsh smelling chemicals. You don't even need gloves!
