I received a tip from a tile installer years ago and it works fantastic! For your you'll mix a vinegar water solution of 1:10 (Vinegar is the 1 and water is the 10) For your floor you'll put it in a bucket for a larger amount, for your shower in a spray bottle.

Floor - Use a deck brush and scrub the tile floor with the mixture. When the floor is done, you'll mop it up with a water rinse.

Shower - spray the tile with the mixture, using a scrub sponge, wipe the tile. Rinse with water.

The acidity in the vinegar will clean both the tile and grout. If there is years of build up - it'll take a few times to get it all clean up - but don't give up. My grout and tile cleaned right up and has stayed that way ever since.

Simple Green and a good scrub brush work well too.

Hi Andrea, Once you get your tiles clean, You may want to think about re sealing your grout. Another tip, after your tiles are clean, use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (extra strength or made for bathroom), and wipe your tiles down just before your done with your shower. Mine have stayed clean for almost a year now! twice a week I spray peroxide to the bottom half and floor of the shower and let it sit until I've dried and dressed. Then I just give it a rinse.

    Hope this helps!

Barkeepers Friend works wonderfully! You can purchase it reasonably at a Janitorial supply place - i.e. Smart and Final. You can also take all the water out of your toilet via a small cup and clean the throat of the toilet and it will come out like a brand new toilet! I love barkeepers friend and it is only pennies more than Ajax! Barkeepers Friend also comes in a liquid form, for tile if you prefer that!

    You will adore this product!
