A lot to be said for a powerwasher with an added cleaning agent just don’t spray to close or will take off your paint
you can get a bottle of house washing solution at big box diy stores...it attaches to your water hose and you squeeze a trigger to apply. A bit more gentle than a power wash. The power washer did get a lot of the paint off the last house I had to paint an exterior on.
You could use a pressure washer but do not overdo because you could damage the wood with an extreme pressure.

If you're going to repaint your house, then use a pressure washer to clean it. If you don't intend to repaint it, then I would use your hose and a brush with long handle to clean it.
Mix water and Dawn. Scrub with a brush. Rinse.
