Hello Andy; You have several choices to clean your shower. The following Recipes are below:

    1 cup of borax

    2 Tbs. dawn dishwashing soap

    1-2 cups of water

Mix the borax, dawn and water to form a paste like pancake batter.

Use a soft bristle brush and apply the solution to the affected areas.

Let the solution sit on the soap scum for about 15-20 minutes.

Do not allow the cleaning solution to dry.

Scrub with a soft bristle brush until the soap scum is gone.

    Rinse completely with hot water.

Baking soda is another good choice.

    1 cup of baking soda

    1 Tbs. dawn dishwashing soap

    1-2 cups of water

Mix these together in a bowl to form a paste like pancake batter.

Apply to the soap scum and let the solution sit for about 15-20 minutes.

Scrub with a soft bristle brush until the soap scum is gone.

    Rinse completely with hot water.

White Vinegar is an acidic formula that helps to cut grease. It is a natural deodorizer.

    4 cups of white vinegar

    4 cups water

    1 Tbs. dawn dishwashing soap

Mix the solution together. Use a spray bottle.

    Spray the soap scum well.

Let the vinegar work on the stain for 15-20 minutes.

Scrub with a soft bristle brush.

    Rinse completely with hot water.

I hope that these Recipes help you!!! Take Care!

You should know what your shower is made of... fiberglass, acrylic, etc. Acrylic showers can be damaged by many of the cleaning products you can use on fiberglass. Once you know it is not acrylic, then I would try some TSP for the water spots. Also the cleaning pads (Eraser) will work great for soap scum...and probably water spots as well. Just not on an acrylic shower!!

A product called CLR,found in most hardware stores might take it off. Vinegar might work for you as well. You might have to figure out a way to keep a vinegar soaked cloth in place long enough for the vinegar to work. Once you get it cleaned used one of the products you spray on after each shower. It really does work and saves the shower from getting the hard water spots etc. again.
