What is the best way to renew faded vinyl shutters?

Can they be repainted? Or is there some kind of stain that can be used? I would like to keep the color hunter green.

Spray paint will definitely give you the most even coverage. If you haven't spray painted before practice on a piece of cardboard to get the feel for it. This way you can avoid runs. Depending on the number of shutters you may also want to invest in a spray can trigger. They are relitivly inexpensive and will save your hands from cramping.

Krylon has some really good spray paint that adheres wonderfully to vinyl. Look for the can that tell you it's for plastic.
