Hi ! I would use renaissance wax . This was developed by the royal British museum to be used on armor , swords and silver .
It was about $15 on Amazon . It comes in a little container , but goes a LONG way .
You use a cloth to rub it in , then let it sit for 10-15 minutes , then buff it with a cotton cloth ( I use a piece of an old 100% cotton t shirt ) works great !!!

Keep it in a box with a pillowcase inside a plastic bag so it won’t oxidize.
