What is this?????

Found it in the home of my husbands great grandmother.
It's made of metal ( the link part is flexible / loose and is 10 " long .

    Back before they used vacuums They took the throw rugs outside and beat the dust out of them. That's my guess

    I saw something similar to this that was used to clean pots and pans. The chain like head of it was like using a brillo pad on pots and pans. It was on the show The Collectors and people had to guess what it was.

    If you want confirmation that it is a vintage pot scrubber, then Google it 'vintage pot scrubber' and they have the exact photo of this item on there. Mystery solved!

    Thanks Carole. Mystery solved is right. I have asked dozens of people and even submitted a photo to a newspaper column. There is no question after seeing the photos online. Thanks a million!

    I have one and was told it was a pot scrubber, maybe for cast iron pots & pans.
