What's the best way to clean wall tile in a bathroom?

They're beginning to look a bit dinghy. And no there's no problem with the grout. Just the colors r not as bright as they used to be. Never re-sealed them as I've seen in some of the comments since I bought the house in '99( didn't know this until now). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will try this n see if this works. If not will try a remedy I saw on Pinterest using a baking soda paste.

I've been told Muratic Acid will clean off dingy tile, fireplace brick, etc. You have to wear gloves and work a small area at a time. If the fumes bother you wear a surgical type mask. You can purchase it at a hardware store or automotive shop. Good luck.

Thank u for the suggestion but have no windows in my bathroom. So this will not work. Might try it someplace else. Getting a mold buildup on my brick outside.

If the tiles are judst now looking dingy, you might need to check your lighting, too! Seriously, that's wonderful. I like Scrubbing Bubbles. You can clean the tiles and grout at the same time. Then if you want to reseal, you have a good base. ☺️

Muriatic acid is very dangerous to the respiratory tract. You must hold a folded towel over your mouth and nose when near it. Open a window and put a fan up at the opposite side of the room from the window to blow the fumes out the window. If you have birds, make sure they and other pets are kept well away from the room. This can also do a good job on cleaning out the toilet bowl if you have buildup or rings. Just be very careful and don't get it on yourself as it is a strong acid.

That unfortunately is not an option. There r no windows in the bathroom since it was built sandwiched between a bedroom n the kitchen.

Nancy has a good point about muriatic acid being a dangerous substance to work with, even outdoors, as it is very caustic. I would not jump to this conclusion that your tiles need such a drastic treatment. Jewell has a good point about the lighting in your bathroom. How old are your lightbulbs, or when was the last time that you removed your light fixture and gave it a thorough cleaning? I would suggest switching to new LED lightbulbs, as their light is clear and bright.

Lighting is fine. Bathroom vanity cabinet has 3 lighting fixtures above the mirrors. Each mirror is affixed to the front of the 3 doors that open for storage inside. Plus there's a dome light on the ceiling n a light in surround tub/shower which is installed to the fan inside the shower area. The fan, since there's no windows, vents away moisture.
