After I get the water spots off my fiberglass tub, what can I apply to prevent this from happening so often? Car wax? RainX?

You can use Rain-X, but would need to apply it more often. Paste car wax would last longer.

Paste car wax lasts longer than many other products. Rainx is best for glass.

I believe either one will do. If one doesn't work try the other. I think paste would work better

I was told to put gel gloss on my fiberglass sink. Don't know how long it would last, however.

I'm not sure that there is anything made that will get water spots and build up hard water spots after they have a culminated . The key is to wipe them down after each shower or bath!.. I know, a royal pain, but will keep them nice. Or have a water softener installed. Sorry, that I couldn't be much help.

Joanne Deyoung nailed it!, The Fiberglass shower & tub Mftr in my area has always recommended Gel Gloss, and I know several women in the house cleaning business that are sold on its performance.

I had best luck removing hard water deposits using MrClean sponges. To help prevent build-up, I was told Turtle Wax (for cars) but never tried it.

To clean my tub surround I use dry baking soda slightly dampened. Rub it on
