Whats the best way to get hair out of a tub drain

    As my husband has done this a few times at my daughter's apt. Take the drain cover off, you probably get alot from that. And they make a plastic sticklike thing that you can put in a nd pullout hair and gunk.

  • There are a few things you can try. Pour bleach down the drain and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with hot water. Another option is pour some boiling water down the drain, then pour 1/4 cup baking soda and a cup of vinegar down the drain. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and pour more boiling water down the drain. If all else fails, use long-nose pliers to pull the hair out of the drain. Good luck!

    Get a long brush cleaning rod..they are thin and flimsy so will bend. You will be surprised at what you can remove, then run lots of hot water thru

    Take the plug out of the drain, use skinny plyers or your fingers tobe remove the hair. Get most of it out use drain, etc. use a drain cleaner that will dissolve the remaining hair.

    Get a bottle brush, and clean the drain, make sure you hold onto the brush.

    Avoid the problem by cutting a circle of plastic canvas the size of the drain, and lay it over the drain. You will be amazed at the amount of hair it will catch.
