There are many tutorials for making dishwashing soap on the internet. And they all use castile soap. But castile soap, if not used correctly, leaves a film on your dishes. I explain why that happens and how to avoid that pitfall in this post. You might ask, why make dishwashing soap when you can buy them at stores? Most of commercial dishwashing soap contain chemicals that I am not comfortable ingesting, like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), a foaming agent that many people are sensitive to.

How to make borax free castile dishwashing liquid.
Gently boil the ingredients while stirring to avoid clumping.
Pour into your favorite dishwashing liquid pump or a bottle.

    The film that the castile soap leaves is what I don't like. I can't wait to do this one, because the other ones on here I had to use vinegar rinse to get the film off. It was like having to do dishes twice.
