Do you have a disposal? They can get stinky. I have poured cloryx down my kitchen sink...disposal and all, that takes the smell away. As for under the sink, take very thing out and scrub the area down with either cloryx water solution, or I use a very weak solution of PIne Sol cleaner and be careful what you store down there. You might line the area under the kitchen sink with newspapers, which will be easy to change out now and then.
Hi Saar,
For the actual sink, pour some baking soda into the drain and then add vinegar, when the foaming is done rinse with hot water.it will clean out your drain and pipes.
For under the sink, take everything out and clean it well with with a weak Clorox solution and your favorite dishsoap, let it dry thoroughly.
If you like, line the shelves.with paper or plastic shelf liner.
I like to keep my cleaning supplies under there and in a container to make it easier to them out when needed.
To absorb odors you can keep an opened box of baking soda where it will not tip over. Just remove the top lid.
If moisture is the problem, Damp Rid (available at Home Depot and Lowes -- in larger containers) really helped my Houston home.
