Sharon...You should be able to clean that off with a good degreaser.

I use a paste of baking soda and either white vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. Scrub with a child's toothbrush. Then wipe down with OrangeGlo. Be careful if you go with a degreaser and make sure it is safe for wood furniture. Many of them, liek Purple Power, will remove the finish.
