How to make a stainless steel sink look better?
I live in apartment and have stainless steel sinks. Of course they have been through several users. They keep getting water marks and just look drab. Any way to get the stainless steel sinks more clean and looking a little nicer? Also, does anyone have suggestion for making draft blockers for windows and doors?

Hi Joyce! I hope this youtube tutorial helps you with your stainless steel sink: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cDY8t0SkvI
As for draft blockers the best thing I've found is curtains. You can make your own pretty inexpensively too using drop cloth which is pretty heavy duty so it can help a lot!
I use Cerama Bryte on stainless sinks and it works so well. And here's a cute draft blocker: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/repair/air-conditioning/draft-stopper-39314450

Material of the Week: Insulation Kits
Empty your sink: Make sure there are no dishes, food or residue. Wash the whole thing down with some hot water & dish soap.
Get the worst of it: If you have super tough stains, mix together 3 parts cream of tartar and 1 part hydrogen peroxide. Rub lightly with a clean, non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Even the worst stains should come right off!
Rub it down: Get the inside of the sink wet and sprinkle some baking soda right onto the steel. You can add in a little bit of lemon juice or even use a 1/2 lemon as your scrubber for some extra power to your baking soda and to help deodorize (thanks Laura P.)!. Scrub it down, getting into every crevice and cranny, especially around the faucet. Use a toothbrush for tight areas and a non-abrasive sponge for the rest.
Get rid of water spots: Water spots on your stainless steel sink got you down? Don’t worry. Just rub them down with a little white distilled vinegar for a shine that won’t quit!
Buff it over: Grab a soft, lint-free towel and buff the whole sink.
Your sink can look nearly brand new again if you scrub it well with baking or washing soda to remove most any stain. Then use a soft cloth and olive or vegetable oil on it to shine up the entire sink by rubbing the entire sink well.
Having the sink clean and empty will go a long way. Dry it out after doing the dishes so there are no spots. Keep cleaning supplies under the sink and out of view
I have found Weiman products to be reliable.
I don't recommend any type of vegetable oil. Any residue that does not get washed away can go rancid.
Wipe down with regular rubbing alcohol to make it shine. You can also use vegetable oil to add an extra shine to it.
You can use rice in tube socks for a draft blocker but you might want to get some self adhesive weather stripping and caulk for everywhere but the bottom of the doors.
You can sand the sink with 400 or 600 grit sandpaper or use a repair kit but considering this is a rental, you should discuss it with your landlord first.
