Use a produce called Wet and Forget instead.

Never use clorox on your roof. It is not bleach, it is sodium hypochlorite and it will ruin it beyond repair. You can use Wet and Forget, buy online or try big box stores. Personally, I would call people who do that kind of work. You can ruin a roof quickly if you don't use the right products.

You can also use Moss Out in either the shaker can or the sprayer that screws on to the hose each spring.

You can kill it with oxygenated bleach-it is a powder, most common name is Oxyclean

    Recipe :

    1 lb oxygenated bleach

    2 gal water

    • DIY moss remover using powdered oxygen bleach
    • Wear slip-resistant shoes, safety glasses, and rubber gloves. Set up your extension ladder on a stable patch of ground, and cover nearby plants with a plastic tarp.
    • Rinse and brush your roof gently before applying your cleaning solution. Let the moss remover sit for 20 minutes, then rinse it off and brush the roof clean.
    • Prevent moss in the future by clearing out your gutters and pruning overhanging tree branches regularly. Install zinc strips on the ridges of your roof for protection.

You can get the oxygenated bleach more inexpensively at the dollar stores, look in the laundry section.
