I want to get rid of cigarette smell- Help!

Wet a wash cloth in vinegar. Place it a small jar with the lid open & place it under the seat. 2 works better. Don't forget to use a soaked vinegar rag to gently go over the panels & seats as well. Cleaning all the insides of the windows as well with the vinegar cleans your windows too & removes the orange layer of tobacco.

Place boxes of baking soda in the car after washing down with the white vinegar.

Put opened coffee in there after you have cleaned it good. After a few days the smell is gone.

If the smell of smoke is rather faint, then it may not have permeated yet. You may be able to simply air out the car and spray a deodorizer. Just roll down your windows and spray some Febreeze or another deodorizer on the seats and mats. Keep the windows open as much as you can!

For the carpet and fabric use Febreeze fabric spray. Clean every inch of hard surfaces with vinegar. Leave the windows open whenever you can. Place a box or more of charcoal, cat litter, or baking soda and leave until the smell is totally gone. If the smell returns in damp weather, repeat all the abov. Smoking smells can reduce the resell value of cars and homes.

I bought a used pickup. Previous owner was a chain smoker. I bought a can of OZIUM at Auto Zone. It took a few days but the odor is completely gone. Before getting out you shoot a one shot spray and close the door. It works great.

Old ladies who don't know what they are talking about will tell you to use baking soda and vinegar for anything. They sell a fumigating 'bomb' for removing smoke odor from cars. It cleans out the filter systems as well. Works perfectly. I got one in the auto supply at Walmart. Works in a few hours car closed with systems running. Dakota Odor Bomb is one, EchoSafe auto shocker, another, but there are other brands in auto supplies. They are inexpensive and amazingly effective.

Vinegar and baking soda will clean surface odor you are able to wipe it on, it will not pentrate in and under seats, in the ceiling fabric, in the filter and air systems. My advise for using an odor bomb stands.

Buy an ozonator! I got mine on ebay and my dad bought his on Amazon. These things are amazing and you will likely use it again and again. We bought a house that was very musty, stinky from animals, smelly from previous owners burning garbage in the fireplace, etc. You can read more about them online. Good luck!

with the vent CLOSED to recirculate the air in your car, Spray liberally, Ferbreeze, right into the intake vents!

Do it the easy way and go to a cigar and cigarette store and buy one of the odor killers they sell. All kinds and eezy peezy. They work amazingly too.

Not my car but my HOME, I can't smell it because I'm the culprit, not true for visitors. Need help bigtime!!

if some one smokes in the house or car, by products of the smoke stick to the upholstery and walls, and just about any object in the the area. vacuuming the carpets may not help. shampooing carpets and upholstery, and washing down walls, and any hard surface in the room/car-those do better. wear gloves at all times and do not dump the wash water near any plant you want to keep. nicotine is actually a poison. if you've quit smoking, seal the walls in a house with a stain blocking primer and repaint. if you must keep smoking, make one room the designated smoking room, light up only in that room.

ps....the only way I've ever gotten the smoked in smell from a car gone was to replace the air filters.

Years ago when everyone who came to our house for a party smoked I put small bowls of white vinegar under the couch and chairs with skirts. In the morning I picked them up and emptied them the room was almost smoke free and the vinegar in the 3 or 4 bowls or jar lids was BLACK. jp
