Hello, I have seen people say that they use ketchup on a cloth to clean brass.
Original 'white' toothpaste (not gel type)...good luck :)
brass polish. but if it was lacquered and that has worn off - consider taking them all off and spray painting them. Or you must remove the lacquer that has partially come off and then polish
