Pat....I would suggest Blue Magic. We purchased from Auto Zone but I understand Dollar Store and Walmart has it now. It is in a blue and silver can and is a spray.
Try Krud Kutter to clean. If you are able to get them clean, Wet & Forget Outdoor will help to inhibit the accumulation of dirt & grime.
Carefully unpick the stitches on a seam on one cushion, and take a look at the inside foam stuffing. If the inside smells bad, if you see black spots, or if it looks unattractively discoloured, then it is likely too badly damaged with mildew to be recovered. In this case, I would say purchase new, and start fresh.
If the foam looks clean and attractive, then it would be worth sewing new, or purchasing new covers for the cushions.
To help extend the life of the new cushion covers, spray with Scotchguard.
This will help the fabric stay water-resistant.
I use Totally amazing cleaner from the dollar store and a scrub brush. Significant scrubbing will be required. Then let it sit in the full sun.
