Try rubbing a little goo-gone
Believe it or not, hand sanitizer placed directly on the sap and wiped/rubbed off with a paper towel will remove 100% of the sap, just wash the area down with soap and water afterwards.
Nail polish remover
We used butter or margarine when we got it on our hands. Will leave a grease stain on cloth, should work well on your patio furniture. Rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer should work well too.
