How can I make a natural toilet bowl cleaner?
Living with a septic system I need the bacteria in the tank. Using a bleach cleaner will kill the good bacteria. I read about making your own, but lost the site. Can anyone help me?

Hi Erin,
I'm Linda and I found many articles from Hometalk members about using vinegar and baking soda - which is what I use. I wasn't sure about the septic system, but a question was asked about that and here's the answer. The link is below. Wishing you the best.

I use cleaning vinegar to clean my toilet, sink and shower. It does a great job and on occasion I will add a couple drops of Blue Dawn for extra umpf and cleaning vinegar can be purchased at the dollar store.

I soak vinegar in the bowl before cleaning (like all night if necessary for hard water ring) and baking soda. Also, another good cleaner to use is Simple Green. It is non toxic and deodorizes.
