If you are eco-conscious, I don't think burning would be an option. Do you have somewhere you can leave it in the woods for animals to use in nest building?

Burning is often banned in certain areas and will lead to air pollution. Check with your local garbage collectors - they often have recycling of most consumer products available.

paper can be composted, its how we disposed of it pre recycling. cross cut or shredded. any thing that had once been green and growing can be composted. it makes a decent weed barrier/ mulch for garden areas.

    Hi Vee,

Burning is not a preferred option, it releases particulate matter into the air that we all breathe.

The way to go if your cannot compost it would be to recycle it for another use. There are centers that accept this kind of waste paper, look them up in your area. If possible could you find a box where paper is deposited for shredding? Also there are large trucks that come around periodically to communities.

Thank you for your concern about the environment.
