I see them on the bathroom floor and on some of the kitchen counters. How do I get rid of ants inside?

best ant killer I know is equal parts sugar and borax. Borax kills, the suger attracts....that reminds me.....I need to get it on the perimeter of the foundation . you can mix with water and soak Cotten balls with it if the ants are getting inside and on counters...keep pets away from the stuff.
I buy Terro and place it where no children or animals can get in it. The ants will find it because it is sweet to them. They will eat it and carry it back to the nest. It doesn't take long before you will have no ants.
Ants are attracted by moisture so check that first. Then vigorously clean the trail where the ants walk as they are following pheromones and you need to remove those. Finally, spray with a liguid pesticide formulated for ants. You may also want to treat the perimeter of your house with a granulated or powder pesticide. And finally treat any mounds you find.
Mop the ant area with water containing lemon or plain ammonia. You can also pour undiluted ammonia into any ant mounds outside and around the base of your house outside!
Ants have a sweet tooth. Mix a gel- like paster of approx. 2T water, 3T sugar and 1-2T borax. Put a dollop on a square of wax paper or tin foil ( any heavyweight paper that won’t absorb liquid or leak) and place it near where the ants come in. They will carry it back to their nest and kill them.

Ant bait!
Sounds like they are Pharaoh Ants. They are looking for water and sweets, hence the kitchen & bathroom locations. They come through your window sills,, torn screens, etc. and sometimes nest in pipe chases.
Use Terro Ant Bait Stations:

They work fast by luring the worker(s) into the "sweet" poison, where they take it back to the nest and share the "Kool-Aid" so to speak.
