I use vinigar in my yard for various reasons. Ive noticed that some recipes call for apple cider vinegar and others say to use white. Other than the strength of the vinegar is there a difference and how would I know which to use ? TIAicon

It depends on what you are doing. What exactly are you using the vinegar for?

Well, white vinegar is distilled from grains. Its low price, relatively high acidity level, and clarity (no stains) make it an ideal cleaner. Apple cider vinegar is made from apples.

Typically to clean or to kill unwanted vegetation - white vinegar at 5% acidity is what is called for.

    I always use white.

White -- apple cider vinegar has a lot of uses, but it costs a little more and I wouldn't waste it in the garden.
