Like everyone else, the north side of my house and my deck get green with mold. I would like to make a cleaner with natural ingredients so as not to harm any animals or my grass! Thanks!

Mix water with some vinegar and baking soda and spray it on. Then use a brush to brush it into the wood grooves for your deck and for your home, just spray it on, let it sit for a while and if you can reach the areas with a soft brush with a long handle, like a car wash brush, then go over it with the brush. Hose everything off again after you have finished.

Sounds great -- hope it's strong enough to cut the mold way up high because i definitely can't reach the chimney with a scrub brush! Ha!

Vinegar solution with lemon juice add small amount of dish soap spray on let sit 30 minutes then scrub with long handled scrub brush and rinse. It may require abrasive if very thick try some baking soda rinse well.

There is a commercial siding cleaner available to do this job too. Use a power washer to get the worst of it off. An attachment to an ordinary garden hose might help you to get to the higher surfaces if you have enough water pressure. A messy job but someone has to do it.
