Hmmm, interesting question. No smoking in house? I'm a former smoker. I quit smoking in house for years, went to garage. Smoke penetrates into walls, furniture, clothing, lamp shades, you name it. leaves nicotine stains on walls... I no longer smoke and wouldn't allow it in my home. They'd have to go outside.

    Good luck...

Can't be done. I just moved my mom out of an apt and they are going to take the walls down to the studs to get the smoke out.

I asked the question because my friend lives in a condo where the neighbor smokes. My friend has health issues and the smell is hurting her. Aside from moving, we are looking for a solution. Anyone know if that Flex Seal that keeps out water will also work on keeping out smoke?

smoke is carried on AIR,,, and will travel thru wall outlets, holes drilled to allow plumbing piping, window frames, nail holes, and after enough years will seep into the pores in gypsum board ( sheet rock ), shared ductwork for HVAC ....
