Bath faucet need a refurbishing. I'm trying to make them look better without replacing them.
I sell a lot of jewelry on Ebay. Gold, silver, etc. With and without stones. Polishes and dips tend to remove some of the metal. I use white toothpaste (not gel) and a damp toothbrush. Just brush lightly, rinse, and wipe with a soft cloth. Works every time. Doesn't affect the stones. They actually look brighter. For large items I use a damp cloth. Also works on copper, brass, porcelain, ceramics, sneakers, plastics, etc. For my sales I needed one product for cleaning everything.
Use toothpaste (not gel) to clean a rose gold necklace. Massage a little, and it'll turn grayish black. Then rinse with lukewarm water
White toothpaste.
White toothpaste and a soft bristle brush works wonders, expect sparkles and shines.
If mild soap and water is not enough, try plain white toothpaste with a rag and/or soft toothbrush. Make sure there is no gel, baking soda, whitening or other additives in the toothpaste.
Toothpaste works great. I use the electric toothbrush & an old 'head' to speed up the process. Restores sparkle in a flash.
I use toothpaste to scrub (with old toothbrush, after the paste has set a while on piece) then alcohol to rinse piece in and then towel off.
Crest Toothpaste.
Use plain white toothpaste, it is mild, non abrasive and easy to rinse off even the small details. Use a toothbrush to get into the little crevices.
Use white toothpaste (not gel) and rub it onto the piece with your fingers or a soft bristle brush. Rinse with water and dry with a microfiber cloth.

You don't clean gold with toothpaste. Toothpaste and only the regular NOT gel will take off tarnish from oxidation on silver not gold. Gold should only need cleaning from dirt and body oil so put it in some soap and water and let it soak.

Toothpaste scratches don’t use on gold
Hi Abby, here is how to do this, place a bit of paste on an old toothbrush and scrub away at your dull pieces of silver, gold or gemstone jewels. Dip a clean cloth in warm water and completely wipe away the paste.
