Get one of those "gloves" that remove hair just like a brush when you pat your dog. It feels good to the dog and it helps lessen the shedding. Keep dog groomed often. I also used one of those big lint rollers on chair and sofa fabric.

We have a border collie that sheds like mad. The only thing I can do it brush him daily and vacuum. I wash his dog bed every week because of all the hair. Also have a sticky roller on hand for quick touch ups.

Hello Teresa, the furminator grooming brush can be very helpful along with having a good vacumn for indoor cleaning.

Both my son and daughter use the furminator for their dogs. In particular use it outdoor and watch .....the clouds of fur float away.

Hers a links for your consideration the reviews and QA can be very helpful. The reviews on Amazon seem overwhelmingly favorable. I hope this helps- give your dog a pet for me!

  • Brush your dogs often, I do mine every other day. I have a lot of fur from 6 cats, 3 dogs, 3 neighbor dogs plus visiting pets. Plus I vacuum every day and mop the kitchen floor every night before bed. It's work having pets!

Use damp wash cloths(water only) rubbing them on upholstery rolls up the hair and then you can get it in trash; I should have bought stock in lint rollers or use duct tape rolled backwards onto hand sticky side out it is cheaper more effective;bagless vacuum (daily) wash out canister & filters after using;dog beds I actually use a dog slicker brush on them to remove hair then put(beds/covers) in dryer on air/cool cycle to get hair off before I launder them(keeps hair out of washer pump/filter);vacuum dog beds between using the slicker brush on them;brush dogs at least 3x a week with slicker style brush to get under coat under control and daily(if they let me)with cheap hair brushes from dollar store;carpet vacuum daily(I have no carpet tile thru out house much easier/cleaner) I use microfiber dust cloths, dusters, and dust mops-wash them regularly and no fabric softener on them. give them baths 1x month & use Pantene conditioner on them helps their coat not be so full of static and moisturizes their skin less shedding/dander.use deshedding combs-Furminator works well depending on dogs coat.Thin fine under coat forget it.Vacuum everything(floors, curtains, furniture) regularly along with dusting. keep clothes picked up off floor. I put everything that has hair on it in dryer before I wash it on air cycle to pull hair off of it it really helps & saves wear & tear on washer. It's easier to clean lint trap/filter than buying new washer

yes easy low cost solution I buy old towels or washcloths at Goodwill on 1/2 off day sales or bundles of white wash cloths on line like Ebay or Amazon;old t-shirts cut up work well too. if they get too cruddy just toss them in trash, but I usually shake hair out really well and when I get a small load for washer ,put in dryer 5-10 minutes before washer(removes hair so it doesn't mess up filter or pump on washer)then wash hot water with cup vinegar and soap. No fabric softener on them all cotton works best or poly/cotton blend. Microfiber works well too but you cannot wash/get the hair off to reuse-this also applies to clothing you wear or upholstery & sheets they attract hair. so this is where the duct tape /lint rollers work best( micro fiber clothing & animals don't mix)I have 3 dogs and 6 house cats HAIR-----Lots

    Hi Teresa,

Brush and Vac the dog every day, Take dog to the Beauty Parlour to get it Washed and Trimmed regularly . That should help keep it within bounds.
