I've found that basic dawn and warm water works the best. Dish soaps are a near neutral cleaner which won't strip the finish on wood cabinets, but still cuts kitchen grime. If they are wood, buff dry immediately rather than air drying.

Go with Vinegar and water. Mix in a spray bottle and lightly spray and wipe down cabinets. :)
