Where do you get apple cider vinegar?

On grocery store shelves , you will find 2 primary vinegars: White vinegar and apple cider vinegar. Folks often specify Apple Cider Vinegar so you know to get the amber colored table rather than the clear vinegar. Vinegar is very inexpensive, and is used for so much more than just cooking. Inquire online for all the many uses of vinegar.

If you are using it for cooking, salad dressing, or as a tonic (mixed with water and honey), be sure to get Organic, Raw apple cider vinegar "With The Mother." Look it up and you can get a lot of opinions on this from health food type websites. I look for sales online. 32 oz Bragg brand at Vitacost for $4.94. (Walmart $5.98) 16 oz Bragg brand at Swansonvitamins for $2.76. I get Bragg just because it was the one first I saw recommended. Great stuff - no refrigeration required after opening. If you order enough from these sites, shipping is free. CVS has a brand that is organic, unpasteurized, unfiltered, with the mother 32 oz for $4.99. Probably Walgreen has it also or any large chain drug store. If you key in a search for apple cider vinegar benefits, you will find a fantastic looking site about the stuff - I see topics on cleaning, acid reflux, diabetes, warts, weight loss. I like the taste of a Tbsp in cold water with a tsp or so of honey.

Jan, I just now noticed you are in the U.K.

Looking in Sainsburys, I see it is called Cider Vinegar in the U.K. There are many listed but I did not see "mother" mentioned. "Raw" would mean it has the mother. Also "unpasteurized" and "unfiltered."

I found this one at Boots.
