  • What do you mean? Do you mean why would you put it in a closet? I would suggest maybe storing on a high shelf if you have little ones. I def. would store it inside the house and not in a hot/cold garage.

Depending on the use Clorox makes a great disinfectant though it will need to be watered down first.

If you are referring to a recent post called "Put Clorox on you closet" it was a very misleading post by Hometalk. The post was about how to bleach wood, it was not about a closet at all. It was a piece tall storage piece that someone used bleach on to change the color of the wood.

Only reason to USE bleach in a closet would be a diluted mixture of bleach and water to remove and mold and mildew. Some use bleach to bleach wood to remove stains or lighten the color.

I can't imagine why anyone would use Clorox chlorine bleach in a closet. If they came in contact with clothing it would potentially ruin them. However, there are many Clorox products that could be useful in a closet. Perhaps something to disinfect. I used to keep the spray for my shoes until I put charcoal bags in them.

You can clean the walls in a closet with a mixture including bleach, but I would not just leave open bleach in a closet.

Hello! If it something that you saw in a Hometalk posted project, ask your question on that precise post.

This is a general Q&A posting area, the person who's project you're asking about would likely be unaware of your question about their project post. To get an answer about a specific post, ask the question directly below the project that will likely get you a reply from the Hometalk

If you ever want to go back to see a particular project, just click on the little blue house at the top of this page, left-hand corner. If you can't find a particular project, you can use the search bar. Also, please consider checking out "Explore Projects" for even more additional ideas.

    Hope this helps.

Not sure what you are asking? Looking for ways to store it? Using it for cleaning?

  • I’m not sure? What is the end goal? If it was a project you saw on Hometalk, try the search bar at the top left.

Hi Fama: I found this for you:

"According to the Clorox website, a bottle of Clorox Regular Bleach “should be stored between 50°F and 70F°, and away from direct sunlight” and that pertains to bottles that are both sealed and opened. Clorox states that a bottle of beach that has been correctly stored has a shelf life for about one year."

    Hope this helps

  • I think it is best to store them in a closet which is away from reach of children.
