Landshark is right CLR is good stuff
I've resorted to using vinegar with a drop or two of dish soap to clean, then on the very oxidized portion I've used good old steel wool with enough water and dish soap to make a paste. Scrub in a circular motion and then rinse well and use a shower squeegie to dry as much as possible, then a soft cloth to finish drying the edges and corners.
