A damp microfiber cloth should produce a streak free finish. Don’t do on a hot, sunny day. I prefer SuperCloth and use it for glass, screens, and appliances. It is similar to the cloth you receive with glasses/sunglasses. It was well worth the investment. They were under $40 for 4 of them about 5 years ago.
Newspaper and vinegar will make the glass shine!
For outside I spray with the windex bottle that attaches to one's hose. When that product runs out I fill bottle with a mixture of Dawn and water. For inside I use windex, and maybe if window is really dirty I wipe off first with a damp paper towel.
In the winter, you’ll want to wait on doing the outside.
On the inside, I use a mild vinegar solution and 2-3 drops on dish detergent, a sponge, a single edge razor blade, a squeegee and paper towels to dry it.
Hi Carole, we mix equal parts water and vinegar in a spray bottle, shake well and spray it onto the window. Wipe off with balls of newspaper for a streak-free clean-up.

First, take an equal amount of vinegar and water and mix them together in a spray bottle. White distilled vinegar will work best for this. Then, spray the solution on your windows and let it sit for around two to three minutes. Lastly, use a gentle cloth to wipe away the cleaning solution and avoid any streaks.
