What can I do to remove the old house smell from my 100 year old house
I’ve tried everything, cleaning thoroughly, fabreeze. Mr clean, etc
Vinegar, water, and a good scrubbing sponge. Dry with old crumbled up newspapers.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Windex. - Moisten Magic Eraser with water. Spray windshield with window cleaner - Use Magic Eraser on window. Wipe dry with either paper towel or clean and dry Microfiber cloth . I had tried for months to clean my windows to sparkling satisfaction. This is the only thing that worked on the road film and smokers film.
Exactly what I was going to suggest.... you could also use an ammonia based window cleaner.... the key is to repeat until all the layers of the film are gone, paper towels or newspapers are good to dry.
Nicotine is oily so you need something to cut through the greasiness. A 50/50 mix of vinegar, warm water, and a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid. Spray bottle or bucket. Wipe dry immediately. Then use auto window cleaner to remove any streaks.
I have used white vinegar on a paper towel to cut the nicotine grease. Then I will use regular windex after.
