If the Clorox works, then spray all of the areas starting on one side and working your way to the other side. Then go back to the beginning and wipe away with a mix of warm water and vinegar. By doing this, the Clorox will have a chance to work better and be less of a chore to get done.
Use vinegar, plain old white vinegar. It will kill the mold spores.

Hello I was getting mold around my white garage door gasket and I used an inexpensive generic bathroom bleach spray cleaner and wiped it away with a paper towel. It was an easier cleanup than I expected. Depending upon the color of your exterior siding you may need to be careful with the bleach.
Wash it with bleach water and follow it with a spray of full strength vinegar and let it dry to kill the spores. The bleach will help with the staining and initial cleaning and the vinegar will do the killing. As long as there is moisture, the mold/mildew will come back, but the vinegar will help get rid of it.
Thanks everybody-it is cold and rainy here now, but will do the 'job' on a warm sunny day-good old bleach and vinegar-how would we do without them
