What is best way to clean vertical blinds?

If they are just dusty, put the dust wand on the end of your vacuum hose and go over them. If they are dirty, the easiest way is to half-fill your tub with hot soapy water and soak you blinds in that for a few minutes. Swish them through the water a few times before removing them. Soak all the blinds first, then replace the soapy water with hot clear vinegar water and rinse them well.

They are vertical blinds, quite long and heavy, and I do not have anything long enough to put them in to clean them as you suggest. Thank you.
