A small amount of ammonia mixed with water. Say, one part ammonia to at least five or six parts (or more) of water. Watch out for straight ammonia though, it will take your breath away. Its very inexpensive.

On really big jobs, especially when I'm cleaning the windows from outside, I just use a good old bucket of hot soapy water, a squeegee and old towels. (liquid dishwashing soap). Use an old washcloth, dip into soapy water, wring out slightly, rub a dub the window, squeegee in nice rows, catching the drip with a dry towel, and then swipe around the edges of the window with paper towel or a lint free cloth. Good luck and God bless 😊

    Alvin Corn Homemade Glass Cleaner

    • 1/4 c. rubbing alcohol
    • 1/4 c. white vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
    • 2 c. warm water

Combine everything in a spray bottle, and shake well. Shake well before using, too, as the cornstarch might settle at the bottom (and subsequently plug the spray mechanism if it’s not mixed in well).
