Sewing Machine Cabinet to Liquor Cabinet With Glass Top for Serving...

I turned an old wooden sewing machine cabinet into a liquor cabinet. This could be used for other storage as well... That will be for her new owner to decide!...
Sewing cabinet before
I bought this wooden cabinet off of kijiji... There was no sewing machine inside any longer... Just some extra wood pieces and some cut off wiring...
Sewing machine cabinet with front door open
I pulled out all the inside pieces that were in the way of what would become storage space.
Addinf a cabinet bottom
...and then added a bottom to the cabinet so that it can hold items.
Top cut out of sewing machine cabinet
The top flipped open to reveal some misshapen cutouts where the sewing machine would have pulled up from... With the help of my Pickle I soon had a nice clean square and even cut around the top of the cabinet... Inside this cut edge we installed a trim that would make a lip to hold a piece of custom cut 5mm glass.
After paint and clearcoating
I hit the cabinet with some FAT Paint in Pewter and then with FAT Clear... What a breeze FAT is to work with!...
Setup liquor cabinet
I placed the glass into the top of the cabinet and stocked her up... The edge that folds over reveals the glass lid through which you can see the contents of the cabinet... And also serves as an additional serving space!...
Check it out! She's the perfect liquor cabinet / party serving bar for small spaces!...
