Trend Watch: Gold Hardware

Forget oil rubbed bronze, the latest trend in hardware is gold! Gold knobs and drawer pulls add shine to your home, and are an affordable upgrade. The kitchen and bathroom will benefit from gold hardware, sure, but laundry rooms, offices, and even bedrooms are where gold will have the most impact.
Below are our favorite examples of gold hardware in the home. See more on the National Builder Supply blog: http://www.nationalbuildersupply.com/blog/home-trends/trend-watch-hardware-that-glitters-is-gold/
Designer Sarah Richardson, of HGTV's Sarah's House, used gold hardware to contrast the deep blue cabinets of this luxury kitchen. Photo Source: http://goo.gl/p3QdoY
Designer Jenny Komada, of the blog Little Green Notebook, spray painted old chrome hardware gold to contrast against the neutral cabinets in her laundry room. Photo Source: http://goo.gl/fVw5po
Gold and white is a trendy color combination, and this bathroom exemplifies why! Gold hardware ties in nicely with the gold faucet and lighting, and breaks up the white on white of the subway tile. Photo Source: http://goo.gl/T1BFqK
Designer Barrie Benson used gold hardware on a black vanity, creating a sophisticated look for less. This vanity was featured in House Beautiful magazine! Photo Source: http://goo.gl/rS2Lho

not a chance... Any where I've seen this it looks dated. AND it's just a matter of time before the gold finish starts to show wear. I'm sticking to brushed silver and nickel....it's timeless

@Barbara Michael Stout I have to agree with you, I'm in the process of getting rid of all the gold in my house....right down to the door handles!
