Crafting Space Organization

I do not have an entire room to devote to my crafts, but I was able to steal a corner of the basement to turn into a crafting nook. I am sharing some of my best tips for organizing craft supplies in a small area.
BEFORE:
After being gifted a drafting table that my Mother-in-law was no longer using, I set to work making an area where I could use my Cricut machine and craft without messing up the Dining Room table.
First I took inventory of my supplies. Separate all your crafting supplies into piles by type so you can see what you have. I just spread everything out on the floor and organized one pile at a time by the type of supply.
These transparent folders are perfect for organizing my scraps of vinyl. They can be separated by type: regular vinyl, permanent vinyl, window cling, etc.
I used large, round plastic containers from Oriental Trading to store my smaller supplies such as washi tape, ribbon, and faux flowers.
I used a ceramic cup to store my Cricut tools, a small wooden crate for paper tags and stickers, and mesh wire bins to store misc supplies such as glue dots, yarn, hot glue gun, and other random items.
I picked up this rolling cart from Michael's for $40. It is perfect for storing everything from acrylic paints, to rolls of vinyl and iron on, to plastic shoe box sized bins for smaller craft and art supplies.
AFTER:
I used a variety of containers, baskets, and bins to create an organized craft space in a small area. I love that I can leave my Cricut out all the time now, instead of packing it up when we needed to use the Dining Room table.
