"Tickler File" for Your Craft Projects

Instead of cumbersome binders, I decided to put my projects in a cute box and separate by type. This is easy and pretty fast. It's a great project to do with the kids as it teaches them to stay organized.
Begin by sorting what you like to do. For me it's jewelry, sewing, crochet, wood, wreaths and Misc.
Find a box that is about 1/3" wider than your index cards. I get my cards at the dollar tree so they are just a penny each.
I used denim to cover the box but you can use fabric or yarn or perhaps you found the perfect box made of wood, plastic, or metal.
I love blue and yellow so I glued one large button that looks like it has been sewn on to the front.
I printed the labels (don't do what I did and forget to put the cap locks back on for the last of the list) making sure they would fit nicely on the CD covers.

I then cut and taped the labels to the top half of the cd covers for dividers.
Once the dividers are done, you are ready to put your cards in.

I often overlap some of the photos of the crafts so there are 2-3 on each card. This saves space and time not only to set it up but to look for things.
If you do a craft or two a day like I do, you can prioritize them by what you have at home already vs. what you need to buy supplies for.

You can't see it but in the front of each section, there is a shopping list of what I need. If I am heading to a thrift store, I grab it and go. Then, I cross off what I don't need anymore and put the list back in the box.

This has been such a time saver and keeps me motivated to stay up with my plans. For those of you who don't know, when I submit a tip or recipe to www.thriftyfun.com, I get 5.00 and when I submit a craft or project, I get 10.00
which gives me a little "walking around money" as my daddy used to say.

If I get the most thumbs up each month, I win an additional 50.00 so I make at least two smaller or 1 bigger craft a day. I consider it my "part time job".

I hope this helps to keep you organized!!
